MagPal PRO is the premium version of the MagPal free theme. It is designed for users who want more control, flexibility, and advanced features. It includes everything from the free version and adds powerful customization options like color and font controls, adjustable layout widths, 6 header styles, and up to 10 thumbnail size settings.
With MagPal PRO, you can enhance your content presentation using featured post widgets (grid, list, tabbed), a dynamic news ticker, infinite scroll or load more buttons, and flexible footer layouts (1–6 columns). The theme also supports custom page templates, unique header images for each post or page, and expanded widget areas.
To boost engagement and monetization, MagPal PRO includes post likes, view counters, related posts, built-in ad spots between grid posts, 25+ social share buttons, a social widget, and a built-in contact form. All of this is easily manageable through an extended WordPress Customizer panel.

After purchasing the MagPal PRO WordPress Theme, you'll receive a download link via email. Check your email inbox (or spam folder) for the product delivery email. Click the provided download link to download the theme's .zip file to your computer. Follow one of a method given below to install the theme on your website.
MagPal PRO is a separate theme. Whether or not you're currently using the free MagPal theme, you need to install MagPal PRO using one of the methods below.
If you're upgrading from the free version, most of your existing WordPress Customizer settings will remain in place. So you don't need to reconfigure everything from scratch. However, you will need to reupload a few images and reapply specific color settings.
After activating MagPal PRO, go to Appearance → Customize and reupload the following:

Tip: You can install PRO without deleting the free theme. Use Live Preview to confirm your layout, then click Activate & Publish.
This is the easiest and fastest method to install this WordPress theme.
In some cases, you may not be able to install a WordPress theme through the WordPress dashboard—especially if the theme's ZIP file exceeds the maximum upload size limit. When this happens, you can install the theme using cPanel's File Manager, which is often simpler than using FTP. Follow the steps below to install your theme via the File Manager in cPanel.

If your website already has existing posts with featured images, it's highly recommended to regenerate thumbnails after activating the MagPal PRO theme. This ensures that all images match the new theme's layout and display sizes.
Regenerating thumbnails is optional if your site is completely new and doesn't have any uploaded images yet.
However, if you imported the demo content, regenerating thumbnails is essential to display images correctly across the site.
This step ensures clean image alignment and sharp visuals throughout your website using the MagPal PRO theme.
MagPal PRO theme allows users to upload their very own site-wide custom header image with custom title and description to obtain a much more personalized look and feel. Also they can upload an unique header image for each post/page with unique title and description replacing the site-wide header image and its title/description.

Site-wide header image will be displayed everywhere on your website. But if you add a header image to a post/page using settings of that post/page, site-wide header image will be replaced by that header image.

By default, the theme displays your website's title as the header image title and the tagline as the header image description. However, you can replace both with custom title and description.
First, you need to enable the display of custom header image title and description sitewide. To do this, go to Appearance → Customize → Theme Options → Header Image and check the option Add Custom Title/Custom Description to Header Image and save settings.

By default, the theme's header image links to the home URL. You can change this to a different URL through the theme options.

The News Ticker in the MagPal PRO theme is a lightweight, eye-catching feature that displays your posts in a smooth, horizontal scrolling format at the top of your site. It's perfect for highlighting breaking news, trending updates, or featured content with a continuous stream of headlines that captures visitors' attention. Fully customizable via the WordPress Theme Customizer, you can easily enable or disable the ticker, set a custom label, define the number of posts to display, and filter content by recent posts, a specific category, a specific tag, or manually entered post IDs. This feature adds a dynamic touch to your website while keeping readers informed of key updates.
You can activate and customize it via the WordPress Theme Customizer.
Find the option Enable News Ticker and toggle the switch to Yes to activate the news ticker on your site.

The Grid Ads Widget lets you inject any custom content—banner ads, affiliate blocks, promo videos, newsletter opt-ins, or even shortcodes—directly inside the post grid. Instead of interrupting the layout with a bulky ad spot, the widget slips a responsive block neatly between two posts at the exact position you choose, keeping the masonry layout intact and boosting visibility without hurting UX.
Important: Add this widget only to the Grid Ads Widgets area (Appearance → Widgets → Grid Ads Widgets). That dedicated sidebar is injected into the grid template—widgets placed elsewhere will not show up.

MagPal PRO includes 4 custom page templates that let you create pages with unique layouts beyond the default design. You can assign these templates when editing any page, whether you're using the Classic Editor or the Gutenberg Block Editor.
Template option:
A Featured Content Page is a special type of page that displays featured post widgets instead of the content added via the page editor. With the MagPal PRO WordPress theme, you can create unlimited featured content pages. You can also set one of these pages as your homepage if you prefer.
Before creating a featured content page, please install and activate either the Widget Display Conditions or Widget Context plugin. These plugins allow you to assign widgets specifically to your featured content pages.
Note: This tutorial uses the Widget Display Conditions plugin. You may use any other plugin that offers similar functionality.
Template option:
Go to Appearance → Widgets. You will see several widget areas.
Use only the following areas to add widgets to your featured content page:
Drag and drop your desired widget into one of the above widget areas. If you are using the Widget Display Conditions plugin, you'll see a Display conditions button at the bottom of the widget settings. Click it.
Click the Add group button.
From the dropdown options, select the featured content page you created, then click Save.
Now, the widget will appear only on your featured content page.
You can repeat this process to add multiple widgets to the available widget areas. After adding your widgets, visit your featured content page to see them in action.

When switching from the free to PRO version, you need to manually reupload your Site Logo, Header Image, Site Icon, and Background Image via Appearance → Customize.
